Roger L. Ferrini

Roger L. Ferrini, 87, of North Falmouth, passed on May 26, 2020 after a heroic battle with Covid-19. Roger was born on May 23, 1933 in Brockton, MA, and was the youngest of 3 children of Gino M. and Florence (DeNapoli) Ferrini. He was predeceased by his brothers, Gino M. Ferrini, Jr. of Stoughton, MA and William Ferrini of Rome, Italy.

A graduate of Brockton High School, Roger received a BS in engineering from Norwich University in 1955, and then served in the US Army Corps of Engineers as base engineer in Kitzingen, Germany. He worked as an engineer before embarking on a series of entrepreneurial ventures including co-founding the United Shoppers Association and Citadel Insurance Agency.  

He and his wife, Janet Mahanna, established their home in North Falmouth in 1972, and are known for welcoming family and friends to their personal paradise on Cape Cod. He enjoyed working in their yard on the shores of Buzzards Bay, fishing with his family, and traveling with his wife. He proudly served as the Treasurer of Bay Shores Homeowners Association in North Falmouth for approximately 40 years. 

In addition to his wife of more than 50 years, he leaves two children, Dr. Roger Ferrini of San Diego, CA, and Dr. Vicki Ferrini of New York City, two daughters-in-law Dr. Jennifer Stone and Zlatka Andorova, a granddaughter, Tennessee Katherine Ferrini Stone, and two nephews in Italy, William and Louis Ferrini and their families. He will be remembered for his baking, pasta making, love of family and friends, kindness, generosity, and contagious smile. 

May his memory be a blessing. 

Due to Covid-19 precautions, services and burial will be private.  

Donations may be made in Roger’s memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
