Ronald A. “Cooch” Coutu, Sr.

Centerville – Ronald A. “Cooch” Coutu, Sr. passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Born in Milford, MA on September 24, 1943, the son of Andrew and Claire (Richards) Coutu.

He leaves behind his Wife Bonnie MacFarland Coutu of Centerville, Ma, his daughter Michelle (Coutu) Steele of Granby, CT, his sons John A. Coutu of Brewster, MA, and Ronald A. Coutu, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI and his six grandchildren, who were very special to him, Joseph Coutu and Kevin Coutu of OH, Samantha Steele and Cooper Cullen of CT, Dakota Moore and Rosalie Coutu of Cape Cod, and his brother and sister in-law Phillippe and Dorothy Coutu of FL.

He was a wonderful husband and a loving father.  Cooch was blessed with a long and happy marriage, loving children, and adoring grandchildren. He worked in all aspects of the fence industry for over 50 years.  He was a legend in the industry.

He enjoyed spending time at home and working in his garden.  He also enjoyed clamming, digging for quahogs, his coin collection, his artwork, playing golf, camping, boating, fishing, and his experience swimming with the dolphins.

Memorial visiting hours will be from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, November 23rd at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills, with a funeral home service immediately following at 4 pm.  Burial will be private.

Donations in memory of Ron Coutu, Sr. can be made to the charity of your choice. 

The family wants to thank Hartford Hospital Bliss 9I for graciously allowing us to be with Dad during his final hours.
