Ronald Charles Westgate

Ronald Charles Westgate, of Mashpee, formerly of Taunton, passed away peacefully at Sippican Health Care Center in Marion on February 8, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Beatrice G. Westgate and son of the late Clinton and Margaret Westgate.

Ronald was vice president of marketing and sales for Mount Hope Stowe Woodward for 50 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing at many different golf courses all over the world with his wife Beatrice. He loved to travel, especially with his wife, and golf in many tournaments together. He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.

In addition to his loving wife Beatrice of 70 years, Ron is survived by three children, Ronald Westgate Jr. and wife Judy of Sandwich, Pamela Costa and husband Michael of Taunton, Karen Chamberlain and husband Myron of Dartmouth, six grandchildren Nicholas, Ronald III, Kerri, Molly, Benjamin, Casey, five great grandchildren Makenzie, Zoe, Piper, Natalie, Peter Ronald IV, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Clinton Westgate Jr.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) Mashpee on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:30am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church 3 Job’s Fishing Rd. Mashpee on Thursday February 11, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ron to a charity of one’s choice.
