Rosamond “Penny” Pollard

Rosamond “Penny” (Weston) Pollard, 97, of Bridgewater died on August 10, 2018 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.  She was the wife of the late Adelbert E. Pollard and daughter of the late Franklin and Alice (Bellows) Weston. 

Penny was born and raised in Bridgewater.  She lived in Bridgewater most of her life and worked at J.J. Newberry’s in Bridgewater for many years.  She enjoyed music, reading, walking, and socializing with friends and family.

Penny is survived by her son, Grandville “Ronnie” Post and his wife Carol of Woburn; her daughter in law, Margaret Pollard; grandmother of Gregory, Kevin, and Matthew; great grandmother of Abby and Hailey.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Penny was predeceased by her son, Dana Eugene Pollard, her sister, Dorothy Farnum, and her brothers, Malcom and Harrison Weston.

A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 at 10 AM at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater.  Burial will follow at Furnace Village Cemetery in Easton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Penny’s memory to Steward Home Care & Hospice, 275 Martine St., Suite 109, Fall River, MA 02723.
