Rose C. Daley, 89, of Wareham, died Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Daley.
Born in Portsmouth, NH, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Ida D. (Prouty) Gibson. Mrs. Daley graduated from Wareham High School class of 1948 and Bentley School of Accounting and Finance class of 1950. She worked for the Boston Law Book of Boston and Cash All Components of Franklin. Mrs. Daley was also bookkeeper for many years for her husband’s accounting practice. A longtime resident of Carver, she recently moved to Wareham.
Mrs. Daley retired to Florida for 20 years and was a resident of St. Augustine, FL and The Villages, FL. She enjoyed and taught line dancing both in Florida and in the Wareham area. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to cook. Mrs. Daley was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Wareham.
Survivors include her daughter, Vanessa Coles and her husband David of Wareham; her sons, Mark C. Daley and his wife Joyce of Spokane, WA and David G. Daley and his wife Janet of Bourne; her grandchildren, Joshua Coles, Veronica McIntosh, Aprile Daley, Ethan Daley, and Adam Daley; her great grandchildren, Victoria Rose McIntosh, Cole McIntosh, and Reagan Daley; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, the late Benjamin T. Daley; and her siblings, the late Marion King, Harold W. Gibson, Doris Makowski, Theresa Manamon, and George E. Gibson.
Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
