Ruth Dean Sherman (65)
YARMOUTH - Ruth D. Sherman took her final breath in the arms of her Husband, C. Randall Sherman on Tuesday October 30, 2018, after suffering a recent traumatic brain injury brought on by the ravages of Leukemia, which she battled and beat for 5 out of the last 5 years and 5 months of her life.
Born and brought up in Madison, Maine, she graduated from the University of Maine, Farmington with a BS Degree in Science Education. She worked as a teacher, a fitness instructor and personnel trainer, a tutor, an organizer and as a cherished family and community member. She lived life bravely and with kindness and functioned with an eagerness and energy towards life that few possess. She loved the outdoors, lakes, ocean and beaches, loved to move and exercise, and loved her family in the strongest sense of the word. A most remarkable women, who spent her entire life doing everything for everyone, and loved with every ounce of her being. A loving Wife to Randall, caring Mother to Dean and Shannon, and incredible GMA to grandchildren Tucker and Teagan. She was selfless, kind, optimistic person (knock on wood!) who lived life as well as anyone could attempt to. Her gears started in fifth with no downshifting involved!
She is survived by her Parents Robert and Stella Dean of Madison, Maine, her Husband of 44 years C. Randall Sherman of W. Yarmouth, MASS, her son Dean and wife Shannon with Grandchildren Tucker and Teagan, of Yarmouth Port, MA., her Brother Harold Dean and Wife Peggy of Turner, Maine, Brother in Law Rod Sherman and Wife Peggy of Dennis, MA. Sister in Law Nancy Sherman of Utah, 5 nieces and nephews, Angela, Stacy, Melissa, Jack, Katie and their spouses, and 9 great nieces and nephews, her closest friends her whole life since kindergarten, Mary Merrill and Dawn Krasnavage from Maine, and countless close friends, all of whom she cherished.
