Scott James “Scotty” Peacock

Centerville – Scott James Peacock of Centerville passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 28 after battling the horrific disease of addiction. Scotty was a caring, loving and giving young man who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Scotty was born in Barnstable, MA the eldest son of J. Scott & Amy Peacock. Scotty is survived by his brother Michael of Cotuit and sister Jennifer Peacock of Centerville. He was adored and loved by all aunts, uncles, cousins and another special person in his life, Aubrey.

Scotty was a 2008 graduate of Barnstable High School. He will be remembered by his adventurist spirit and his larger than life smile. Which coincidentally won him “best smile” in his class. He also played lacrosse, hockey, cross country and golf while at Barnstable.

Scotty was naturally gifted at carpentry as it came very easy to him while working in the family business for many years. In his free time he enjoyed being outside; hiking, snowboarding, long boarding, any and all outdoor activities with his love of nature. Scotty cherished the annual family trips to Sebago Lake in the summers and loved spending quality time with his sister Jennifer and brother Michael. He was very easy to talk too and could spark up a conversation with anyone. When he asked how you were he meant it, he wanted to hear all about you as he was truly interested.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to The Centerville Beautification Project for Mother’s Park, Cape Cod Five Centerville, as Scotty was passionate about helping his community.

Scott’s calling hours will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 at The John Lawrence Funeral Home in Cotuit. His funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018, 2:00 at the Osterville Methodist Church on Pond Street and burial will be private.
