Sheila T. Connolly of East Bridgewater died on Saturday, October 27 in her home at the age of 87. Sheila was born in Doirin Darach, Galway, Ireland to the late Thomas and Margaret McDonagh and grew up on a coastal farm. She was one of eight children.  Sheila married her late husband Patrick Connolly in 1954 and left Ireland moving to England and then to Dorchester, MA in 1958.   They had six children together.   She loved music, reading, movies and TV but most of all was a devoted mom.  

Wife of the late Patrick Connolly and devoted mother to her children Margaret M. Curran and her husband Joseph of East Bridgewater, Patrick Connolly of East Bridgewater, Michael T. Connolly of East Taunton, Mary E. Connolly and her husband Thomas Fishbaugh of Canton, Sheila Soule and her husband James of Weymouth, and the late Ann T. Contrada and her husband Gerald of Haverhill.  Sister of the late Nora, Nancy, Bridget, Mamie, Johnny, Patrick, and Thomas.  Loving grandmother of Ryan, Kyle, Stephanie, Kayleigh, and Michael.  Sheila is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visitation hours will be held on November 2 from 4-8pm at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring St, East Bridgewater, MA.  A funeral procession will follow on November 3 at 9:00am from the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Johns Church, 210 Central St., East Bridgewater at 10am followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.  Donations may be sent to Old Colony Hospice, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or click here.
