Steven Vecere, of Bridgewater, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on November 4, 2020 at the young age of 54. He was the loving son of Dominic Vecere and the late and never forgotten, sweet Sylvia (Shearing) Vecere.

He is survived by his sister Karen (Vecere) Zelnick of Southborough, brother-in-law Kevin, nephew and nieces, Thomas, Sylvia and Ella, as well as his loving girlfriend Bernie Mahoney of Raynham.  He also leaves behind his Aunt Mary Pappas, Uncle Syd and Aunt Jean Shearing in addition to many cousins who will miss him dearly.

Steven was raised in Bridgewater where he graduated from Bristol Plymouth High School in 1984 with Auto Body as his trade.  After he graduated, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corps in August of 1986 and served in the reserves until honorably discharged in May of 1990. Steven proudly worked at his Dad’s shop, Dom’s Auto Body, for over 20 years beginning as a repairman and then as manager.  His most recent job was as an Armed Security Guard at Internal Security Associates, a career he thoroughly enjoyed and took great pride in.

He enjoyed spending most of his free time with Dad, his best friend and companion Bernie for the past 15 years, and his spunky Boxer “Rocco”.  He also loved fishing with Jimmy and Hokey and being just an all around sweet guy so many people wanted to be friends with.  One of his favorite hobbies was restoring and showing antique and 80’s cars along with collecting sports memorabilia and of course watching the Pats every Sunday afternoon.  He will be missed deeply by all who knew him and is now back in the arms of his loving mother Sylvia in heaven.
