Steven Miller “Stevie” Coffin

It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen Miller Coffin announces his sudden passing Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 53 years.

Stephen was born on Nantucket July 10, 1966. With the exception of the time he spent at Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover, MA, he was a life-long resident of Nantucket. Stevie was an avid competitor in Special Olympics for many years and was employed at the Stop and Shop on Nantucket for 27 years. He was well known and beloved member of the Nantucket Community.

Stevie will be lovingly remembered by his mother Janet Coffin of Nantucket; his father Robert Coffin and stepmother Brenda Williams of Nantucket; his sister Pamela Coffin of Nantucket; his brother Joshua Coffin of Keene, NH; his sister Bethany Coffin and her fiancé David Blevins and their son Robert Blevins of Maui, HI; his sister Lynn Coffin Brendemuehl and her husband Steven Brendemuehl; his nieces Katie Brendemuehl and Kelsy Brendemuehl and her fiancé James Siciliano, all of Natick, MA; along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Those who desire to make a donation in memory of Stevie may do so to the Kennedy Donovan Center, 30 Ansel Hallet Road, West Yarmouth, MA 02673 or to Special Olympics, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.

Visiting hours will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM on Monday, November 4, 2019 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at St Mary’s Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church, 3 Federal St.  Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery.
