Steven R. Vassall, Jr.

1946 ∼ 2021

Steven R. Vassall, Jr. , 74, of East Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday January 20, 2021. Born in Boston, August 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Steven Vassall and Martha (Khoure) Vassall. He graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1964, enlisted in the U.S.A.F., and served in the Vietnam War. After returning from Vietnam, Steven and his wife Sheila, moved to Brockton where Steven attended and graduated from Massasoit Community College. He worked for the U S. Postal Service for 16 years and retired in 1999.

Mr. Vassall loved classic television shows and was an avid fan of Law and Order. Although he was an old movie buff, horror movies were his favorites. He treasured spending Saturday nights watching Svengoolie with his grandchildren. Steve was also an avid Boston sports fan, Ted William's was his lifelong hero. He was a faithful Lottery follower and played his numbers every week.

Steven is survived by his brother Robert and his wife Patricia; his son Steven R.Vassall III, his wife LisaJeanne Theriault, and their children SashaRose, Justice and Liberty; and his younger son Scott Vassall, wife Rose Vassall and their son Nicholas Vassall.

There will be visiting hours to celebrate Mr.Vassall’s life on Saturday from 2-4 p.m., on February 13, 2021 at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater, MA. Please wear a mask, social distance, and follow COVID-19 protocols.
