Steven T. McLaren, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by all of his children and grandchildren on June 1, 2020 at the age of 69. He was the son of Patricia M. (Stuart) and Thomas S. McLaren of Marshfield.  He is survived by his loving wife Jean M. (Duarte) McLaren of East Bridgewater, children Derek McLaren and his wife Carolyn of Middleboro, Richard McLaren and his wife Sarah of Raynham, and Lisa (McLaren) Kazakis and her husband Andrew of Braintree. Grandfather of Dylan, Hailey, Hannah, Madison, Ashley, Jamie, Christos, Leonidas, Sophia and Achilles.  Loving brother of the late Nancy (McLaren) Girard of Carver.

Steven was born in Chelsea and raised in the Dorchester and South Boston areas before he moved to Marshfield where he graduated from Marshfield High School.

Steven met his wife Jean when they were in their 20’s and the two married on August 4, 1973. They decided to settle in Bridgwater and started their family.  Steven enjoyed humor and loved to tease and laugh with his family and friends.  He also enjoyed taking cruises with his grandkids, day trips to the beach and indulging into a good book.  Steven’s grandchildren changed his life in the best way making him an even more caring and compassionate person.  He was extremely patriotic and was a former member of the Lions Club and spent many years as a Boy Scout Troop Leader.  Steven was also a proud organ donor for most of his life and a recent organ recipient.
