Theresa (Suchan) Mackey, 65, died peacefully after a year long battle with leukemia. Theresa grew up in Woodbridge, NJ and was a graduate of Georgian Court College, Summa Cum Laude, Class of 1975.

Theresa married Robert Mackey on Oct. 21,1978 and the two raised their children in Bridgewater, MA. She was a dedicated professional at Stonehill College working as a computer programmer in the Administrative Computing department. She loved crafts, art, painting, and being an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. She was the best grandmother in the world and a devoted loving mother and wife.

Theresa was the loving wife of Robert N. Mackey of Bridgewater and daughter of Mary (Smerecki) Suchan of NJ and the late Frank Suchan. Mother of David F. Mackey and his wife Denise of Walpole, Daniel W. Mackey of VA. Proud “Grammy” of Chiara, Courtney, Nathan, and sister of Ted Suchan and his wife Charlene of VA, Raymond Suchan and his wife Debra of VA, and the late Christine Morin and her husband David of NJ. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Fri. Nov. 2nd from 4-8pm at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater.

On Sat. Nov. 3 all are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at St. Basil’s Church, 122 Park Ave. (Bridgewater State University Campus), Bridgewater at 10:00am.
