Thomas C. Goodman, 76, died at home on Monday, April 30, 2018 after a long and hard fought battle with metastatic lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Sandra L. Goodman.
Thomas had a simple foundation in the way he chose to live his life. Love of God, Country, and Family sustained him and endeared him to loved ones, friends and just about everyone who came to know him. He will be greatly missed by those he has left behind and will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Born in Albany, NY on December 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles and May Goodman. Thomas spent over thirty years working in terminal operations for the Sun Refining and Marketing Company located in the Newburgh and Albany areas. In 1988 he moved to the Cape working in the transportation industry until he and his wife founded and operated Atlantic Coast Courier in 1996 until retirement in 2017.
In addition to Sandra, his wife of twenty seven years, Thomas is survived and will be deeply missed by his three children, Kenneth Goodman and his wife Marilu of Safety Harbor, FL, Diane Lawatsch and her husband John of Penfield, NY and Brian Goodman of East Greenbush, NY. Additionally, Thomas is survived by step-daughter Alyssa Corey of Kula, HI, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and former wife Anita Goodman of East Greenbush, NY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of John-Lawrence Funeral Home located at 3778 Falmouth Rd., Marstons Mills. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Monday, May 7, 2018 immediately followed by a service honoring Thomas with interment at the National Cemetery located in Bourne.
