Thomas J. LeRocque, Jr., 94, of North Falmouth passed peacefully at home on Saturday, November 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born in Chelsea in August of 1924. He served in the Army in WWII, was injured and received an honorable discharge with the ranking of Sargent. Tom earned various medals including the WWII American Theatre and the Soldiers Medal of Honor.
He worked in Boston for the General Services Administration (GSA) branch of the government for 38 years. He lived in Arlington, MA and moved to North Falmouth upon his retirement at age 55. He had many interests including gardening, bowling, 20 years as secretary of the Cataumet Cemetery Association, and spending time with his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel (Starratt) of North Falmouth, two daughters, Suzanne Bolton of North Falmouth, and Michele Hill and husband Craig of San Diego, CA; his only granddaughter, Jaclyn Bolton of East Falmouth and her partner Hector Miranda; and 3 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Jadiel and Kaylyn Miranda, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, November 17th at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Rt. 28A), West Falmouth, MA. A Celebration of Life service with military honors at 1:00pm. Burial is private.
