Victor E. Smith Jr.

1960 ∼ 2017

Victor E. Smith Jr., age 56, died suddenly on Aug. 2, 2017 while at his home from heart complications.

Victor grew up in West Roxbury,  was the loving son of the late Victor and Florence (Weymouth) Smith Sr. , and was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School. He loved playing hockey with his friends, riding his Harley with his beloved wife Lidia, and always being loyal friend and co-worker. Victor could often be found working in his garage or helping out as the Chief Steward Officer at Local IBEW 2322. Victor worked part time for the Raynham Police and was a 30 plus year lineman for Verizon.

He is survived by his loving wife Lidia M. Smith of Bridgewater and was the father of Victor E. Smith III and Matthew Smith both of FL. He was the grandfather of one and brother of Nanci Pollard of ME and Marilyn Bregoti of Natick. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Sat. Aug. 5th at 9:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St. Bridgewater at 10:30am. Burial will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery and visitation will be held on Fri. from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
