Victoria A. Cahalane

Victoria A. Cahalane died at her home on February 1, 2018 after a lengthy illness.  Born May 3, 1953 in Wellesley, MA, the daughter of Victor and Frances (Ladd) Anderson, she grew up in Lexington, Arlington, Fitchburg and Concord, NH.

Upon graduating from Arlington High School Victoria earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Mass, Amherst and a Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University.  While attending BU she met her future husband, Michael Cahalane while they were working at the Harvard Coop in Harvard Square, Cambridge.  Victoria and Michael were married in 1980 and lived in Arlington. 

Victoria was a reading specialist and taught at Stoughton and Littleton High Schools and Belmont Middle School before moving to Cape Cod in 1985 with her husband.  Upon moving to Cape Cod, Victoria taught elementary and middle school levels in the Dennis and Yarmouth schools until her retirement in 2013. 

Victoria is survived by her husband, Michael, their daughter, Christine, her sister-in-law, Barbara Anderson and nephew Bodie Anderson.

Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10th at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 3055 Main St., Barnstable.
