Virginia G. Maciel (UPDATED)

Virginia G. Maciel, age 87 of Vineyard Haven, Ma. Passed on July 27, 2018 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital after a long illness.

Virginia was born in Oak Bluffs, the daughter of John G. Camacho and Constance Correia Camacho.

Virginia was the youngest and last of their five children.

Her husband Raymond R. Maciel Sr. also predeceased Virginia.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Giesta and her Fiancée Michael Souza, Kathleen’s children Melissa Giesta, Mark Giesta and Mathew Giesta. Her Son Raymond R. Maciel Jr. and his wife Patricia Litchfield Maciel and their children Ryan Maciel, his wife Stacey Desouza Maciel, Alicia T. Maciel, and many loving nieces and nephews and their families who gave her many fond memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Soldiers Home in Holyoke Mass. Treasures Office Soldier Home In Holyoke, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke MA 01040

Visiting hours in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9:00am to 10:30am followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated in St. Augustine’s Church, Franklin Street, Vineyard Haven at 11:00am. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, State Road in Vineyard Haven.
