William B. Crocker

William B. Crocker, 59, of Harwich, passed away on August 28, 2019 after a long battle with colon cancer.

Bill was born to the late Albert Crocker, Jr. and Ruth Doane Crocker on July 3, 1960.  He was the youngest of three brothers, he grew up in Harwich and was a proud graduate of Cape Cod Tech.

He began his career as an HVAC/R tech after graduating in 1978 and formed Crocker’s Refrigeration and Appliance in 1979.  Between 1979 and 2015, he took care of the needs of many customers, many of whom he considered family.  His customers always knew that they could count on Bill.

Bill closed the doors at Crocker’s Refrigeration when his health declined.  He volunteered his time at the Cape Cod Tech in the HVAC/R shop and later took a job at Bell Simons, where he was able to stay “in the field” with a desk job.

Bill was well-known for his knowledge in the refrigeration field and he served as a mentor to many.

He was the proud father of Ashley Crocker, and grandfather to Aiden.

In addition to his mother, daughter, grandson and brothers Steven and Edward, Bill is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Thyng, the extended Thyng family, including in-laws David and Nancy Thyng, and many friends.

Friends and family are invited to his visitation at Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St, Harwich Center, MA on Saturday, August 31, from 3-6 pm.  A celebration of his life will be held at the Harwich United Methodist Church, 1 Church St, East Harwich, MA on Sunday, September 1 at 1 pm.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, his family would encourage you to get a colonoscopy.  Donations to The Family Pantry of Cape Cod, 133 Queen Anne Road, Harwich, MA 02645 would also be appreciated.
