William C. Kendrick, Jr.

William C. Kendrick, Jr., 90, of Weymouth and formerly of Falmouth, passed away in Milton on January 21, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Margaret E. Kendrick (Shaw) for 36 years. Born in Norwood to the late William C. and Honorine Kendrick.

William served during WWII for the US Army. He was a 1956 graduate of St. John’s Seminary in Brighton. He retired as a custodial engineer for the Falmouth Public School system. He was a past member of the Seacoast Shores Homeowners Association, the Falmouth Police/Seacoast Shores Neighborhood Watch and the Holy Name Society. He was also an active member of St. Anthony’s church in East Falmouth.  William enjoyed boating, gardening and walking and was a devoted dog owner.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Honorine Wallack (Kendrick) of Woodbridge, CT; sister-in-law, Madeleine M. Sheehan (Shaw) of South Boston; nieces and nephews: William G. Sheehan and wife Laurel, Marie C. Cleary and her daughter Catherine Cleary, Therese Shurtleff and husband Jason and their children, Jason and Robert, Mary A. Smith and husband Arthur of Washington DC, and their children Alexis and Madeleine, William C. Wallack of Washington DC, Robert L. Wallack of San Francisco, CA, Honorine M. G. Klinker of Utica, NY and her children Honorine and Grant, Thomas P. Wallack of Brooklyn, NY and his late wife, Martha, and their children Chloe and Olivia.  He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Wallack and nephew Paul J. Wallack of Woodridge, CT.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home located at 475 Main Street, Falmouth. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, February 2, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Hwy (Route 28), Falmouth. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
