William H. Hatch

William H. Hatch, 84, of Bridgewater formerly of Holbrook, died peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on May 3rd.  Bill was the loving son of the late Horace and Mary (Sheehan) Hatch.

He was raised in Randolph and graduated from Stetson High School, Class of 1951, where he lettered in baseball and football. He was drafted by the US Air Force and stationed in Korea. Upon his return, he married his sweetheart Catherine C. Smith on April 21, 1956, and the two would settle in Holbrook where they raised their six children. Bill was a consummate hard worker who had a career spanning over 30 years as a supervisor for Mass Electric. He enjoyed New England sports teams, especially the Patriots, and  enjoyed gardening, traveling with his wife and friends, but cherished time with his family most.

Bill was the devoted husband of 58 years to the late Catherine C. Hatch and loving father of Michael T. Hatch and his wife Gail of Bridgewater, Susan P. Cutter and her husband Joseph of CT, Catherine A. McDonald and her husband Mark of Bridgewater, Anne M. Magliocco and her husband Gary of NC, Thomas J. Hatch and his wife Lisa of NC, MaryBeth Hanafin and her husband James of Bridgewater. Proud “Grampy” of Haley, Randi, Amy, Ashley, Suzanne, Joey, Megan, Chris, Matthew, Kaitlin, Nicole, Rachel, James, Kara, Lauren, and great grandfather of Andraya, Alayna, and Aaden. Brother of the late Jeanne Burns and Shirley Teed, both of Randolph.

Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. Bridgewater on Wed. May 10th at 9:00am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St. Bridgewater at 10:00am followed by a burial at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9th from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
