William H. Perry III

William H. ”Skip” Perry III, 87, died peacefully on September 6, 2018 at Cape Regency Nursing Home in Centerville. A life-long resident of Cotuit, Skip was born at his grandparent’s home in Santuit, the son of the late William “Bill” and Taimi Perry of Cotuit.  He was married for 63 years to the late Jeanne Leland (Matthews) Perry, who died in November 2017. He is survived by his two children and their spouses; Ginger and Ross Bisplinghoff of North Hampton, NH and Steve and Andrea Perry of Greenville, SC.  He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Jill Bisplinghoff and her husband Steve, Madison and Lindy Perry and a great grandson Jackson Bisplinghoff. Skip was predeceased by his sister Sonja Lynn (Perry) Fisher of Rhode Island.  Skip was loved by all, helped anyone who needed a project done, kept the nurses laughing at the nursing home and had numerous “Skippyisms.” The family’s favorite one: “He can’t pour water out of a boot with the directions on the heel!”   Skip insisted that there be a party in his honor instead of a funeral and that will be held at a later date. Because Skip had a rare blood type, he always donated blood. The family asks that you consider doing the same in his memory.
