Yvonne G. McGrath- It is with great sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne G. McGrath of Mashpee, MA on May 25, 2019. Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. McGrath grew up in Bloomfield, N.J. and lived in Essex County, N.J., Houston/Kingwood, TX, and Groton, CT before settling in Mashpee on Cape Cod. Mrs. McGrath attended the Traphagen School of Fashion Design and worked for the Simplicity Pattern Company in New York City. Later Mrs. McGrath worked for Pierre Deux in Houston and was the owner of her own pillow making and drapery business, Behind the Seams.

Yvonne is survived by her husband of 54 years, Giles, and her sons Christopher (Andrea), Dennis, Mathew (Mali) and Jonathan (Tracey). Along with these, she will be missed by 5 grandchildren Emmett, Kieran, Hamilton, Sophie and Taylor and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Golden, and her sister, Lois Reising.

Visiting hours will be held in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason funeral home, 74 Algonquin Ave., Mashpee, MA on Thursday May 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Friday May 31 and proceed to the Christ the King Church in Mashpee for a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a family reception luncheon at the parish hall. Burial will be private.
